Iowa Western is hiring a Part-Time Cashier in the Food Services Department. The part-time cashier will be under the supervision of the Catering/FOH Supervisor. The cashier will be responsible for the processes involved in obtaining cash sales, credit sales, meal plans and declining balances, responsible for communicating any suggestions, comments, complaints, and incidents that customers have expressed or experienced, and work in a professional manner with IWCC campus guests and clients to ensure a satisfactory guest experience in the galley. Cashier will also assist in daily cafeteria duties including stocking supplies and front of house preparation for dining service.
Qualifications: High school diploma or GED required, cashier experience desired. computer/POS experience desired, and customer service experience required.
Demonstrate superior customer service to all staff, faculty, students and guests of the college.
Additional qualifications include occasionally lifting of 50 lbs. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear and use a phone, ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time, use hands to operate a computer keyboard, telephone and other basic office equipment. Reading, writing, calculating, social interaction skills, reasoning/analysis, ability work with minimal supervision, high degree of problem-solving and high degree of interpersonal skills preferred.

Hours are flexible with day, evening, and weekend shifts available.
