Athletic Trainer Intern
Stipend: $1,000 month

Iowa Western Community College is currently seeking an Athletic Trainer Intern at our beautiful SW Iowa Campus, in Council Bluffs Iowa.
This is a great opportunity for someone who has some athletic experience in the following areas:
Provide athletic training coverage for in-season Varsity and JV athletic competitions
Supervision of athletic and work study students
Provide evaluations, treatment, and rehab of injuries
Assist in maintaining and recording of medical records of student-athletes.
Option to teach if a Master's degree is held.
This position is 10 months and runs from July 22, 2019- May 22, 2020.
Required: Bachelors or Masters degree from accredited athletic training program. NATABOC certification and eligible for Iowa Licensure.
Must be in good standing with the NATA. Current CPR, AED, & First-Aid Certification.

Ability to multi-task, set priorities, and be an organizer
Ability to pass a background check
Candidate must be able to stand for at least four straight hours, lift at least 50 pounds to waist level, run/jog 100 yards without stopping, and be able to see 100 yards with or without corrective lenses.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear and use a phone, and some travel including by vehicle may be required.
