Primary Responsibilities

The primary duties of the Sr. Water and Wastewater PM will be involvement in strategic planning marketing proposals and interviews and will also be directly involved with public and private clients in marketing project production and related issues.  Additional duties include serving as the client manager, establishing client relations, marketing and contract solidification.  Other duties include planning, directing and monitoring all aspects of medium or large multi-disciplinary water and wastewater treatment projects with high degrees of technical complexity. More specifically, the Sr. PM will be expected to independently lead and supervise teams of engineers, environmental specialists, and CAD and GIS professionals to develop detailed designs, plans, specifications and estimates for water and wastewater treatment projects and related systems. These responsibilities will include establishing project teams; establishing project schedules and responsibility assignments; developing project design criteria, schematics and methods; performing or overseeing process design, sizing and hydraulic calculations; preparing preliminary design and other engineering reports; determining and writing engineering specifications: overseeing the production of design drawings; developing and executing QA/QC plans for each project; and working directly with the owner to ensure that the project meets or exceeds the owner's expectation. The Sr. PM will have the demonstrated ability to build a practice in medium to large multi-disciplinary pipeline projects. The Sr. PM will also be responsible for mentoring less experienced Project Managers, training other engineering personnel, and supervising large project staffs. Required Qualifications

BS Engineering required, MS preferred in Civil, Environmental or Mechanical.  PE license.   Local Northern Virginia, Maryland and DC knowledge a must.  Minimum of 15 years of experience in the planning and design of complex treatment plant projects.  Proven project leadership, project management (staffing, schedule and budget) and mentoring skills.  Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.  Software knowledge: Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, AutoCAD.   Excellent interpersonal and communications skills.  Strong business development and strategic planning skills.  Excellent team player with ability to function effectively in a variety of roles on integrated project teams.
