About the Phoenix Office

The Phoenix office is committed to design excellence, high performance building and client service.  We believe that design can elevate the human experience.  We have an active Emerging Professionals Group and experienced professionals to mentor and support goals and licensure.


We are looking for a Architectural Designer / Project Coordinator to work on a variety of projects and tasks as an integral member of the growing Phoenix team in an open and collaborative environment. .


Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

The Architectural Designer / Project Coordinator will provide planning, design, and coordination support on a wide variety of project types and scales in a growing office. The ideal candidate will work closely with the team to engage in problem solving, teamwork, critical thinking, and visualization to create accurate and detailed drawings.  In addition they will assist in creating all aspects of mixed media deliverables (3D models, renderings, animations, graphic presentations). They may perform analysis of sustainable criteria and perform code reviews.

  • Oversee one or more projects from beginning to end, from conceptualization through construction administration
  • Oversee support staff on architectural specifications to ensure work is executed accurately, coordinate in a timely manner, and utilizes resources effectively
  • Develop and establish the technical building details for the project including plans, sections, elevations, plan/section details, and schedules to meet the design intent
  • Accurately prepare and coordinate project construction document details and schedules using Revit
  • Prepare and create plans that adhere to established office standards
  • Assist and provide input on code research
  • Review shop drawings and project submittals for document compliance
  • Process RFIs and submittals using NewForma software
  • Manage and source materials/samples
  • Interface directly with the consultants, contractors, team members, and architects.



Required Qualifications

Candidates should submit both a resume and portfolio to be considered for the position.

  • Bachelors or Master's Degree in Architecture
  • 5+ years of professional experience.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project PowerPoint) required.
  • Must be proficient in Revit Architecture and Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop), SketchUp
  • Experience and/or interest in sustainable design/LEED is required.
  • Excellent interpersonal and time management skills
  • Ability to follow-up in a timely manner
  • Excellent clear and concise written and verbal communication
  • Ability to work independently and work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Positive attitude and driven to succeed.
  • Successful candidates must possess the desire to pursue growth opportunities, licensure, and possess a passion for succeeding in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the areas of educational, civic, science and research facilities, and healthcare.
  • Rhino, 3D Studio Max and Grasshopper experience
