Primary Responsibilities

 

The primary duties of the Management Optimization Consultant includes working with project managers/senior consultants to perform business process assessments, conduct project research/data collection, perform analysis, and generate reports. Task lead on larger projects. Will also implement a range of best management practices with water, wastewater, and/or stormwater utilities including asset management and maintenance management best practices. 
 

Will be expected to perform database assessments and analysis, GIS analysis, computer programming, and/or desire to implement information systems and technology solutions to support infrastructure planning. Should have experience with planning and implementation of infrastructure inspection and condition assessment programs; Planning and implementation of asset management strategies for utilities. Will perform analysis of large utility maintenance management systems, and/or condition assessment databases to support inspection, condition assessment, and planning programs.

Qualifications

 

Required Qualifications

  • BS in engineering or science field. MS is preferred.
  • 3 years or more water and/or wastewater utility experience or related engineering.
  • Expert Microsoft Office user
  • Experience in ESRI ArcMap, computerized maintenance management software (e.g. Maximo, Hansen, EMPAC, GBA MS, Azteca Cityworks) and business process modeling software is a plus
  • Efficient use of the internet and other electronic and hard copy media for research
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to compile and present summary level information
  • Ability to obtain, cleanse, merge and analyze data from multiple sources
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and strong relationship, organizational and follow-up skills
  • Self starter with proven track record of accomplishments
