Primary ResponsibilitiesThe primary duties of the entry level Construction office administrator position include managing document flow on a construction project as it progresses under direction of an on-site resident engineer. This would include processing s and filing various forms of construction documents such as requests for information, submittals inspection reports, materials reports, pay estimates, change order and other related documents. Strong organizational and detail skills, ability to work with others and familiarity with construction environment are desired. May have involvement in client development and project pursuits, and receives general supervision from the Senior representative who reviews work while in progress.



Required Qualifications

Tech school, college degree or equivalent. 

4 year degree in communications, engineering or construction field is beneficial.
2+ years experience in managing documentation on construction projects or similar experience in transportation field preferred.
Experience in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Strong written communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Federal Aid highway and/or rail project experience is desired 

This position typically requires successfully passing drug-screening procedures prior to being hired; thereafter subject to random and cause drug and alcohol testing. Position reports to the HDR Anchorage, Alaska office job assignments may be located throughout the state.
