The Strategic Communications Lead will primarily work with our Transportation leaders and experts to identify, plan and produce strategic content that differentiates our practice and generates interest in HDR. We are looking for someone who can collaborate with a diverse team of engineers, scientists, planners, architects, economists, construction and other professionals to advance our thought leadership across many channels and drive engagement. It's the perfect position for someone with an entrepreneurial attitude who can combine creativity with strong organizational skills to successfully manage numerous projects simultaneously.
Using the brand as your compass, you will lead the creation of strategic and relevant content to implement integrated communication campaigns. Assignments will be diverse and may include print and digital marketing collateral, white papers, social media, content for website and blog, media relations, e-campaigns and webinars, scriptwriting and storyboarding for videos, conference abstracts, campaigns and events, trade advertising and other public relations activities.
More specific duties include:
Bachelor degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, Architecture, Engineering or related field.
Minimum 4+ years of relevant work experience.
Exceptional writing ability, including creative brief preparation, messaging and campaign planning.
Strong project management and organizational skills, and ability to handle multiple tasks.
Familiarity with using a variety of communication tools and technologies (written, visual/video, graphics, social media, web-based, interactive, etc.)
Self-motivated; able to function independently in a fast-paced work environment.
Personable and comfortable working with a wide variety of people styles.
An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
Previous experience in business-to-business, professional services marketing and communications preferred.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe CC Suite preferred. Experience with Go-To-Webinar and Asana helpful.
