Primary Responsibilities:
The primary duties of the Traffic Engineer/EIT include performing complex traffic engineering projects, exercising sound engineering judgment, preparation of traffic signal plans, Intelligent Traffic Systems, traffic impact analysis reports and PS and E documents. Applicant should have prior experience in these areas and should be able to work in a team environment. May make decisions on design and engineering procedures. May function as technical specialist or project manager on mid-size projects but project management is not sole focus of this position. May supervise small staff of professionals and technicians. Qualifications

 

Requires a BS degree in Civil/Traffic/Transportation Engineering. EIT required and on track to PE. 

  • 4+ years traffic analysis and traffic engineering/design.
  • Hands on experience with Highway Capacity Software, Synchro/SimTraffic, VISSIM/Aimsun.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, Word. Strong verbal and written skills.
