Primary Responsibilities

We are looking for a Project Manager with experience in Healthcare projects. As a Project Manager at HDR you will be responsible for:

  • Planning and developing and delivering healthcare projects that may vary in scale and type.
  • The primary coordinator of all communications between the client and HDR, ensuring timely resolution of client concerns and management of business issues including contracts and additional services.
  • Have direct responsibility, for communicating client requirements and design criteria from conceptual design through final build out to project team.
  • Assist in preparation of contract documentation from conceptual design, schematic, design development, contract documentation and construction administration.
  • Manage the project team, and consultants to ensure client goals and project milestones are met within desired project schedule and budget.
  • Participate in marketing efforts and client presentations
  • Strong communication skills, participation in marketing efforts and client presentations.
  • Direct, organize and mentor junior staff with responsibility for oversight.
  • Inspire and foster an integrated project team model.



  • Qualifications



  • A professional degree in Architecture or related design degree
  • 15+ years of experience

  • Licensure required
  • Project finances experience
  • Proficiency in graphic software; Revit strongly preferred
  • Advanced knowledge of integrated project design process, construction documentation and administration
  • Must have the ability to maintain existing client relationships and build new ones
  • Experience negotiating and managing project scope and fees as well as risk management and financial accountability
  • Strong leadership, organization and communication skills
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Analytical thinker, strong problem solving abilities, attention to detail and motivation to learn
  • Collaborative and professional work ethic
  • Experience in medical architecture, desired
  • Ability to mentor, communicate and work with others effectively
  • LEED AP or within 6 months of hire
