Primary Responsibilities

HDR is looking for an Airport Project Manager to join our Alaska/Pacific Northwest team. The primary duties include designing, directing and/ or monitoring all aspects of small to large multi-discipline engineering projects for Aviation projects in Alaska. This person will be involved with the coordination, development and production of several projects concurrently. This individual will collaborate and/or coordinate with teams consisting of multi-discipline design engineers, architects, planners and technicians. The airport engineer will also assist in identifying and pursuing projects and contracts in Alaska. This person will manage and complete design, plan production, and procurement documents for airport projects both airside and landside, and will coordinate with technical staff across all business groups to complete airport planning/design, environmental and other airfield related tasks. Individual will be responsible for meeting with clients, regulators, agencies, and airlines to develop strong professional relationships. Qualified candidates will have a proven track record of establishing client relations, contract development and management and managing staff for project design and production.

Qualifications

 

Required Qualifications

  • BS Civil Engineering or related field.

  • Professional Engineer (PE) License

  • 10+ Years' experience in design of aviation projects, Alaska experience preferred.

  • Previous experience with an engineering consulting firm, contractor or public agency on airside and landside aviation programs preferred.

  • Knowledge of FAA Advisory Circulars, Design Requirements, Orders, Specifications, and Standard Operating Procedures.

  • Knowledge of FAA AIP and PFC Funding Programs, with specific experience assisting with the grant application process, assurance and close-out phase.

    Knowledge of Military design criteria and specifications.
