The Role

As the Advisory Platform Specialist, you will promote and support advisor adoption and utilization of Lincoln Financial Networks Advisory Platform across the country. You will collaborate with Internal and External Consultants to execute on the advisory sales and marketing plans. You will consult with advisors in the field to help them navigate their advisory platform options and help reposition legacy business on the firms sponsored platforms.


  • Primary focus will be working with Advisory Sales and Consulting team and the LFN Financial Advisors to aid in platform consolidation initiatives, proposal generation, and analysis of the assets spread across the current LFN asset management platforms.
  • Performs and delivers on active campaigns within territory/region to promote Advisory initiatives to advisors and staff.
  • Communicates processes and procedural aspects of the advisory platform to advisors and staff over the phone.
  • Fields inbound calls from advisors and their staff in support of all regions and provide advice and guidance to advisors.
  • Coordinates and prepares Advisory Consultants for their in office training seminars with advisors and their staff.
  • Communicates to advisors on changes and impact to their practice
  • Performs and delivers on routine assignments/projects while simultaneously leveraging and applying knowledge of your region of responsibility.
  • Identifies and communicates process improvements that reduce workloads and improve quality for the Advisory Platform initiatives.
  • Maintains knowledge on current and emerging developments/trends for your assigned area of responsibility, assess the impact, and collaborates with management to incorporate new trends and developments in current and future solutions.


  • Undergraduate degree or 4+ years of comparable work experience
  • FINRA Series 7 and 66 preferred, required within 6 months of hire


  • 1-3+ years of experience in Financial Services that directly aligns with the specific responsibilities for this position
  • Knowledge of various areas of financial and insurance, including annuities, life insurance, and retirement products
  • Possess strong interpersonal skills, marketing mindset, and strong presentation skills.
  • Possess strong technical skills including web based technology.
  • Possess the ability to identify training needs and then execute of the training plan
  • Ability to proactively build strong relationships.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve while utilizing sound judgement.
  • Computer skills consisting of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook). Proficiency with e-mail systems.
  • Successfully completes regulatory and job training requirements.
  • Ability to perform under stress in cases of emergency, critical or hazardous situations
  • Ability to work with others in a team environment.
  • Ability to identify and balance the needs of internal stakeholders
  • Ability to effectively analyze situations, applying solutions to achieve resolution
  • Education, experience and/or proficiency in Sales, Customer Service, Financial Services
  • A demonstrated track record of consistently meeting and/or exceeding performance expectations
  • Possesses a bias for action and avoids workplace distractions
  • Drives performance targets to completion
