The Role

The Request for Proposal (RFP) Specialist will leverage project management skills and apply product & services knowledge to complete less complex RFP responses that accurately and favorably represent LFG's products & services. S/he will effectively position RFP responses based on discussions with selling team members to understand the client's needs.


  • Collaborates with internal stakeholders on how to best position the RFP responses to gain understanding of prospect proposal.
  • Contributes to the development of value-added information on the client and/or information on the book of business that is similar to the client in advance of RFP/RFI sessions
  • Develops and maintains effective partnerships with members of the selling team and various subject matter experts to better understand internal/external client needs and effectively position RFP responses
  • Develops and provides accurate RFP drafts, for less complex requests, to appropriate partners by established deadline ensuring all deliverables have been completed.
  • Incorporates feedback and positioning discussed during the RFP/RFI session into draft
  • Maintains a positive and flexible demeanor to complete less complex assignments- RFPs, RFIs, proposals, pricing requests accurately and within established time frames.
  • Proactively seeks knowledge to increase understanding of Lincolns Group Protection capabilities, services and products for best positioning of responses in a persuasive style.
  • Seeks to meet and exceed expectations with project deliverables and customer service
  • Updates the team's workflow tracking database as needed to reflect project status
  • Verifies accurate licensing and pricing approval on all projects prior to production

Education & Experience

  • 1 - 3+ Years experience with RFPs/RFIs that directly aligns with the specific responsibilities for this position (Required)
  • 4 Year/Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelor's)in (Minimum Required)
