The Role

 

This position will consult/analyze and deliver on more complex assignments/projects for his/her assigned area(s) of contracts responsibility.  S/he will act as a resource and primary point of contact to applicable internal/external stakeholders to research and make more complex determinations on issues with existing contracts.  S/he will prepare more complex corporate contracts and ensure compliance with corporate legal standards and regulatory guidelines. 

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintains knowledge on current and emerging developments/trends for assigned area(s) of responsibility, assesses the impact, and collaborates with management to incorporate new trends and developments in current and future solutions.
  • Champions and enhances organizational initiatives by positively influencing and supporting change management and/or departmental/enterprise initiatives within assigned area(s) of responsibility.
  • Serves as a resource to team members and applicable internal/external stakeholders on more complex assignments/projects for his/her assigned area(s) of responsibility.
  • Identifies and recommends process improvements that significantly reduce workloads or improve quality for his/her assigned area(s) of responsibility.
  • Consults/Analyze on more complex assignments and/or projects for his/her assigned area(s) of responsibility.
  • Acts as a primary point of contact for contract administration, contract initiations and contract renewals for more complex corporate contracts.
  • Serves as a resource and consults with internal contract reviewers (i.e. procurement, operations) to provide more complex contract review, advice and negotiation, and to and share knowledge on enterprise/regulatory standards.
  • Develops more complex contract commercial contracts, master services agreements, statements of work (SOWs), and service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Consults with management and appropriate stakeholders to elicit and validate more complex business requirements.
  • Clearly communicates and articulates more complex business requirements, services to be rendered, vendor capabilities, and terms and conditions of contracts.
  • Analyzes more complex contracts and agreements to validate if the specifications will meet the business needs and support business plans/objectives.
  • Identifies contract issues/concerns, recommends mitigation solution(s), and advises stakeholders of the next steps.
  • Facilitates renewals of more complex contracts ensuring continuation of service.
  • Evaluates and monitors service contract performance to ensure compliance with contracted obligations and statements of work; provides support on clarifying contract requirements and resolving conflicts.
  • Identifies and recommends solutions to streamline contract administration processes to improve customer service for contract administration/development.
  • Ensures compliance with the organizations contractual guidelines, satisfaction of customer specifications and adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Collaborates and interacts effectively across internal business lines and teams as part of steady state and continuous improvement opportunity identification.

 

Education

  • 4 Year/Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelors) (Minimum Required)

 

Requirements

  • 3 - 5+ Years of contracts experience that directly aligns with the specific responsibilities for this position. (Required)
