The Role

 

 

As the Shipping/Receiving Rep., you will perform and deliver on routine assignments for your assigned area(s) of responsibility independently in accordance with established procedures/guidelines. You will a full range of administrative services including receiving and delivering packages, transporting mail, maintaining vehicle fleet and dock equipment, transporting customers, assisting technical staff, and performing preventative maintenance.

 

Responsibilities

  • Supports and promotes change management and/or departmental/enterprise initiatives within assigned area(s) of responsibility.
  • Meets or exceeds departmental quality and service standards
  • Delivers routine work independently, in accordance with established procedures and guidelines, in a timely manner and meets deadlines appropriately.
  • Makes routine and non-routine decisions under close supervision, applying limited discretion within role except for matters of significance which affect the business as a whole or a significant part of it, in accordance with established procedures/guidelines.
  • Performs task by applying core knowledge obtained from the role and acquires increasingly more knowledge to apply in the role.
  • Provides premiere service to internal/external clients with a “can do” attitude.
  • Assists with employee moves and conference room setups as needed.
  • Receives FedEx, UPS, USPS parcels and delivers them to required location(s) on time.
  • Picks-up and drops-off mail and/or packages to appropriate vendor(s).
  • Transports VIPs to and from the airport.
  • Moves pallets of equipment in a safe manner throughout the campus.
  • Performs basic preventative maintenance tasks including organizing, cleaning, and management of space.
  • Maintains vehicle fleet and dock equipment (fork lifts, pallet jack, dock plate, etc.) and washes equipment weekly.
  • Transports large and heavy bins in excess of 200 lbs from office areas to dock area.
  • Assists with employee moves and conference room setups as needed.
  • Maintains vehicle fleet and dock equipment (fork lifts, pallet jack, dock plate, etc.) and washes equipment weekly.
  • Moves pallets of equipment in a safe manner throughout the campus.

  • Ability to perform under stress in cases of emergency, critical or hazardous situations.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Successfully completes regulatory and job training requirements.

  • Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative style.
  • Demonstrates strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload and multi-task while maintaining strict attention to detail.
  • Demonstrates solid relationship management skills with internal and/or clients (e.g. management, peers, colleagues, customers, etc.).

 

Education & Experience

  • 0 - 1+ Years of administrative services, forklift driving, or experience related to the duties of this position.(Required)
  • High School or GED (Minimum Required)

 

Physical Demands

  • Must be able to lift Greater than 75 lbs
  • The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, lift & reach with hands & arms.
  • If needed, employee must be able to work more than 40 hrs per week.  (every 3rd week, you will be required to work more than 40 hours)

 

Certifications

  • Upon Hire Certifications/Licensures : Valid Drivers License.
  • 90 Days Certifications/Licensures : Forklift Certification, Drivers License - For Hire – Non-CMV Only Endorcement.
