GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB

This position will provide subject matter expertise and direction on complex projects/initiatives for their assigned area(s) of responsibility. This position will provide subject matter expertise and direction to manage the Information Technology (IT) infrastructure within an organization

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintains knowledge on current and emerging developments/trends for assigned area(s) of responsibility, assesses the impact, and collaborates with senior management to incorporate new trends and developments in current and future solutions.
  • Directs and enhances organizational initiatives by positively influencing and supporting change management and/or departmental/enterprise initiatives within assigned area(s) of responsibility.
  • Identifies and directs the implementation of process improvements that significantly improve quality across the team, department and/or business unit for his/her assigned area(s) of responsibility.
  • Provides subject matter expertise to team members and applicable internal/external stakeholders on complex assignments/projects for his/her assigned area(s) of responsibility.
  • Provides direction on complex assignments, projects, and/or initiatives to build and enhance the capability of his/her assigned area(s) of responsibility.
  • Configures, installs, maintains and performs upgrades to server applications and hardware
  • Applies advanced knowledge to configure, install, maintain and upgrade computer systems hardware and software
  • Serves as a subject matter expert to administer and maintain security of operating systems
  • Leverages and applies advanced knowledge to restore files or systems by designing, writing and implementing backup procedures
  • Provides direction and guidance for the organization's information systems and peripheral equipment, such as servers, desktops, printers and storage devices
  • Performs recovery procedures, scheduling and backups and monitors batch processes
  • Installs, supports and maintains local area networks (LANS) or wide area networks (WANS)
  • Performs administration and support for email applications to insure the system's integrity and security are not compromised
  • Applies advanced knowledge to measure and manage email capacity

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • 4 Year/Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelor's) in Information Technology (Minimum Required)
  • 5 7+ Years experience in IT infrastructure administration that directly aligns with the specific responsibilities for this position (Required)
  • Experience with Commvault (Required)
  • Experience with Rubrik, Tivoli Storage Manager (TSM), NetApp, Amazon Web Services (AWS) or other Cloud technologies (Preferred)

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

  • Travel Type: Regional Domestic
  • Travel Amount: up to 10%
