The Role

As a Registered Service Representative in Annuity Operations, you will be responsible for answering incoming calls from a variety of customers in a dynamic self-service and assisted service environment. The Service Representative demonstrates independence and ownership, instilling confidence and inspiring optimism in our callers through clear, professional communication and timely issue resolution.

The regular hours for this role are 8:45 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Hours during training are8:00 a.m.- 5:00 p.m. for the first 10-12 weeks.

Responsibilities

Communication

  • Answers inquiries from customers on LFG annuity products within established service standards and quality guidelines
  • Explains processes and procedures associated with multiple products and markets to customers and distribution channel partners
  • Provides service to internal and/or external stakeholders, recognizes what needs to be done to meet customer needs and demonstrates flexibility and responsiveness to meet customer needs

Strategy

  • Exercises appropriate judgment with knowledge of products, services and administration to negotiate appropriate solutions to customer inquiries
  • Performs needed research and analysis on customer inquiries covering multiple products and markets
  • Recognizes general issues/concerns, explains effect on the customer's service experience, and suggests process improvements

Data Entry

  • Follows authorized party instructions to complete fund transfers and allocation adjustments as requested
  • Completes routine adjustments and corrections to client contracts

Education

  • High School Diploma/GED or minimum Associates Degree in lieu of required experience
  • FINRA Series 6 required within a specified time frame (within first 30 days)

Experience

  • 0-1 year of general experience need not be directly related to the position
  • Customer service and/or financial services experience preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Demonstrates aptitude for learning new systems and processes
  • Successfully completes regulatory and job training requirements
  • Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative style
  • Demonstrates ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrates solid relationship management skills with internal and/or clients (e.g. management, peers, colleagues, customers, etc.)
  • Demonstrates strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload and multi-task while maintaining strict attention to detail
  • Demonstrates the ability to use sound judgment and discretion regarding confidential information
  • A demonstrated track record of consistently meeting and/or exceeding performance expectations
  • Possesses a bias for action and avoids workplace distractions
  • Drives tasks to completion
