The Role

As the Business Operations Project Manager for marketingyou will serve as a project manager for Marketing-sponsored projects, from planning to launch, to ensure projects are delivered on-time, according to each projects established goals and objectives. You will act as a resource to project team members and leadership to answer questions and provide updates on all aspects of the projects progress. You will support problem resolution through influence, negotiation, analysis and solid decision making

Responsibilities

Project Management

  • Provides project management support for assigned projects. Maintains key project documentation such as project plans, decision logs, issue logs, risk assessments, meeting agendas, and meeting minutes. Schedules and leads meetings such as scrum, status update, prioritization and workstream meetings.
  • Ensures all documentation is accurate, complete, updated, and reflective of authorized changes. Retains all documentation in a central location for easy access and reference.
  • Prepares presentation decks for project steering committee and key stakeholder meetings
  • Monitors and evaluates project progress and performance against the project plan. Escalates any project-related concerns, issues, and risks to the Program Manager immediately. Develops recommendations for mitigation and a plan for implementation of the recommendations.
  • Works closely with Program Managers, Marketing project managers, IT project managers and team members to anticipate and mitigate potential risk items and to set project priorities to meet deadlines.
  • Coordinates and balances multiple projects effectively in a time-sensitive environment, under pressure, and meeting deadlines.

Communication

  • Confident, comfortable communicator with strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Follows up with team members on key deliverables to ensure project stays on track
  • Serves as a communication resource for key project documentation and information for all team members and stakeholders

Reasoning Ability

  • Ability to analyze information and to evaluate the implications of a course of action or solution.
  • Ability to interpret and apply common sense understanding to carry out a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to solve problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.

Education

  • Undergraduate degree or 4+ years of comparable work experience
  • PMP/CMP/ Six Sigma Belt Certification preferred

Experience

  • 3-5 years of experience in project management that directly aligns with the specific responsibilities
  • Ability to work with others in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated strong relationship management skills with internal clients (e.g. management, peers and colleagues); proven ability to develop collaborative approaches.
  • Demonstrates ability to identify and recommend processes improvements.
  • Demonstrates excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload and multi-task while maintaining strict attention to detail.
  • Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative style.
  • Demonstrates the ability to use sound judgment and discretion regarding confidential information.
  • Finds common ground and can gain collaboration among management, colleagues and peers; can influence outcomes without directing or commanding.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Successfully completes regulatory and job training requirements.
  • Ability to perform under stress in cases of emergency, critical or hazardous situations.
