Customer & Marketing Analytics Function

 

At Lincoln there is a huge opportunity to improve end customer experience and engagement through better design and integration of products, channels and touch points – both online and offline. The mandate of this new team is to enable a marketing and customer experience transformation by supporting the creation of marketing strategies and capabilities based on customer insights, preferences, attitudes and behaviors.

The group is also partnering with Enterprise IT and Business stakeholders to develop a shared data analytics capability for Lincoln’s Retirement Plan Services (RPS) and Group Protection business units.

By gaining an understanding of the end consumer Lincoln aims to create an increased level of personalization and relevancy with its interactions with its customers, both buyers and sellers – all based on a foundation of data and analytics.

The charter of this newly-developed group at Lincoln is responsible for identifying effective strategies for engaging and marketing to consumers, building and owning consumer data systems and running data analytics for targeting consumers. The team is also leading the development of “test and learn” capability that will support both businesses.

 

The Role

 

The Data Analyst, Data & Analytic Platforms will design and build consumer data processes, data assets, and visualizations. S/he will deliver on short term and strategic data/visualization needs for Customer and Marketing Analytics.

 

S/he will also gain expertise on a number of analytic tools and technologies that will be implemented in the future.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Have an investigative mindset towards data (in-house and public), proactively identify issues & potential value to the team, and operationalize those datasets for analytic use cases
  • Lead the design, development and delivery of business-centric data & analytic solutions, including large scale data blending, wrangling, integration and visualization
  • Build dashboards and visualizations using Tableau
  • Implement process improvements to enable simplified, effective, automated, standardized analytical processes
  • Help support the adoption of analytical tools & technologies across Lincoln by leading lunch & learns, creating training/user guides, giving tool demos etc

 

Requirements

 

Education

 

  • 4 Year/Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelors) in Information Technology or Engineering or Mathematical discipline

 

Experience

 

  • ~2 - 5+ years’ progressive hands-on experience in analysis, design, development and delivery of business-centric analytic solutions, including relational databases, data marts, data load processes and visualizations (Required)
  • ~2 - 5+ years’ hands-on experience in advanced SQL, Tableau and data wrangling tools (Dataiku, Alteryx, Trifacta etc) (Required)
  • Data & analytic process automation experience
  • Working knowledge of Amazon Web Services. Hands-on experience using traditional data technologies like Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle and big data technologies like Hadoop, Spark, Hive, Presto, Redshift etc and good understanding of related concepts
  • Knowledge of diverse & emerging technologies and new architectural concepts & principles. #LI-CG1
