What you will do

As an automation quality assurance engineer at Gallup, you will design, plan, communicate and execute an automated testing strategy in a fast-paced agile development environment. Working in a highly collaborative culture with developers on Gallup Access, you will identify and adopt new testing methodologies, best practices and tools to improve test coverage and greatly reduce the need for repetitive functional testing. In addition to creating and maintaining automation scripts, you will perform automated tests and communicate problems, test results and the status of projects. You'll also perform debugging, troubleshooting and root-cause analysis of product failures and anomalies as needed. By helping ensure perfect software releases, you'll get us one step closer to changing the world a little to a lot every day.

What you need

  • Bachelor's degree in business, computer science or MIS
  • Three+ years of experience in software automation testing; experience with manual testing and C# preferred
  • Experience with browser UI and API test automation tools
  • Ability to develop automated test cases and scripts from requirements and other supplemental specifications
  • Ability to stress test web UIs and web services and troubleshoot and update automated scripts
  • Proficiency with browser debug tools and API testing (Firebug, Chrome Developer Tools)
