Summary of the Job:
Conduct the research, reconciliation and processing of Automated Clearing House (ACH) items in a timely manner. Ensure the proper handling, crediting/debiting of affected accounts and communication of Return Items to internal and external customers per defined NACHA procedures. Balance and reconcile return items to various internal reports and ledgers to ensure accuracy of transaction reporting. Supports the overall customer satisfaction and regulatory compliance objectives of the ACH department.
About This Role:
Key Responsibilities:
* Process various Return Items while adhering to defined NACHA Rules and Guidelines, departmental procedures, contracted service level agreements and by system set timelines of completion.
* Balance incoming Return Items from the Federal Reserve against outputs from PEP+.
* Input Outgoing ACH Return Items from the Bookkeeping department per defined procedures and timelines of completion.
* Research and resolve Unresolved Return and Exception Items by defined timelines of completion.
* Input returned Pre-Authorized drafts from the bookkeeping department on the day after receipt.
* Collect, prepare and distribute Return Advices per defined procedures and within established timelines of completion.
* Conduct end-of-day balancing of all daily Return Item processing.
* Process requests for Copy of Authorization and Affidavit's for Unauthorized ACH Activity received in accordance to defined procedures.
* Research and resolve customer's issues with Originated and/or Received ACH items.
* Assist Supervisor with End of Month volume statistics for billing and further reporting requirements by designated deadlines.
* Participate in and conduct cross training with colleagues to develop competency and effective back-up support with regard to all departmental functions.
* Understand and adhere to all bank policy, laws and regulations applicable to role.
* Complete compliance training; follow internal processes and controls as required.
* Report all compliance issues, violations of law or regulations in accordance with the steps defined in the FNBO Compliance Accountability Program.
* Exhibit professional behavior and promote positive working relationships and maintain regular and predictable attendance.
Basic Qualifications:
* High School diploma or GED
* Knowledge of Microsoft Office products
* Previous customer services experience
* Strong problem solving skills
* Detail Oriented
Additional Qualifications:
* Banking background/previous working experience in the Banking/Financial Industry.
* Knowledge of the following applications: TSO, Hogan, WSFP and PEP+
