Summary of the Job:

 

AmeriFirst, a division of FNBO is seeking a Customer Care Representative to answer incoming calls from customers and assist with questions related to their accounts. This role will require problem-solving skills to resolve customer complaints or issues.

This is an on-site position with M-F hours between 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.

About This Role:

 

Essential Functions and Basic Job Duties

• Answer all incoming phone calls.
• Explain and resolve customer's questions.
• Transfer call to applicable department as needed.
• Prepare lien releases on paid out loans.
• Prepare special lien release requests and reissue rejected documents from the counties.
• Process daily non-sufficient funds report. 
• Reverse payments from customer accounts and assess any fees in conjunction with Non-Sufficient Funds, (NSF).
• Handles new automatic withdrawal setup, cancellation request and other updates.
• Fax payoff information and Verification of Mortgage (VOM) and subordination request forms to lenders.
• Request pay histories for customers and prepare correspondence for customers.

Other Duties Temporarily Assigned

• Prepare subordination packets received from lenders for review and approval.
• Process fee, update database with lender and customer information. .
• Prepare and meter all daily outgoing mail. 
• Sort and distribute incoming mail and overnights.
• Prepare physical payment checks received in office for bank deposit.
• Handle data entry for online payments received daily.
• Follow up on issues to ensure customers are taken care of and accounts adjusted accordingly.
• Data entry to prepare documents for imaging weekly
• Cross train on all duties within the department.

The Ideal Candidate for This Role:

 

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• Knowledge of consumer finance and general credit practices.
• Customer service and data entry experience preferred.

Skills/Abilities

• Excellent communications and public relations skills.
• Well organized.
• Attentive to detail.
• Willingness to assist others.
• Strong typing abilities.
• Ability to operate related computer applications, and other business equipment including calculators, printer, and telephone.
