It is anticipated that an incumbent in this role will work remotely for three (3) or more days a week and will share a hoteling workspace when working onsite. Work location is subject to change based on business needs.

Summary of the Job:


We are looking for an experienced full-stack java developer to join our FNIT group. Developers at FNIT are passionate around solving business problems through innovation and engineering practices. As a developer, you will apply your depth of knowledge and expertise to all aspects of the software development lifecycle and embrace a culture of experimentation and constantly strive for improvement and learning. You will be part of a team of software developers supporting their efforts to roll out new functionality for existing software, as well as participating in support and maintenance of the existing software.

About This Role:


You will spend time doing the following

You will apply best practices like writing clean and reusable code using practices like TDD, SOLID principles and OO design.

* You will lead or take part in the entire cycle of software development and delivery from ideation to deployment and everything in between.

* You will act as a mentor for less-experienced peers through your technical knowledge.

You will partner with other developers and architects from cross-functional teams adopting and advocating dev-ops culture.

You will work in collaborative, product-focused teams to build our customer experiences.

Take ownership and accountability beyond individual deliverables, always pushing the envelope to deliver awesome results for our customers.

Learn, digest, and subsequently apply the existing and latest technologies.

Provide support for production operations. 

The Ideal Candidate for This Role:


Here is what we are looking for

*  You have Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or possess equivalent work experience.

* You have a strong background in Full Stack development using different frameworks and languages and ability to adapt.

* You have 5+ years of hands-on development experience in building Web Applications and microservices (SOAP or Restful) using Java Spring or Spring Boot.

* You have 1 to 3 years of hands-on experience in JavaScript, HTML/CSS. and in Java Script framework React/Angular/JQuery

*  You have experience with RDBMS such as MS SQL, DB2 or Postgres.

*  You're resilient in ambiguous situations and can approach challenges from multiple perspectives.

*  You feel excited working with Agile and Continuous Delivery approaches such as Continuous

*  You have strong knowledge of test-driven design and testing concepts such as mocks, stubs, fixtures, etc.

*  You are a strong communicator who embraces collaboration.

*  Knowledge of cloud technology such as AWS, Docker or Kubernetes is a plus.
