It is anticipated that an incumbent in this role will work remotely for three (3) or more days a week and will share a hoteling workspace when working onsite. Work location is subject to change based on business needs.

The role of the Business Marketing Project Manager is critical to planning and delivering B2B marketing for FNBO. The Project Manager works collaboratively with partners in marketing and across the bank to plan and execute marketing initiatives, in large and small scale. This role drives customer growth and retention through a diverse set of marketing projects.

About This Role:


Key Accountabilities:

  • Partnership: Participate in developing marketing plans and strategies to accomplish short- and long-term goals and objectives.
  • Develop and maintain a keen understanding of all lines of business in the Business Segment - Small Business Banking, Commercial & Corporate Banking, Commercial Payments, Agribusiness, Transportation, Healthcare, Commercial Real Estate. Investments, - marketing initiatives, key business drivers, and the overarching strategy of the Business Segment and FNBO.
  • Work collaboratively as needed with business leaders, marketing team members, and others across the bank and externally to execute marketing initiatives
  • Serve as a key point of contact and specialist in marketing for specific Business Segment projects, including leading important vendor relationships. Build strong relationships with all contacts.
  • Lead and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to provide marketing support, as assigned.

Project Leadership and Execution

  • Design marketing projects and execute project plans for a variety of work across the Business Segment.
    • Projects include a broad array of initiatives including product launch plans and elements; creation and delivery of sales support materials; events and trade show strategy and execution; communication strategy, writing and programming and deployment of communication; presentation ideation and creation; development and distribution of reporting; writing and concepting for all forms of marketing; planning, executing and tracking of marketing featuring numerous customers and more than 250 client-facing relationship managers and other sales teams across the 8-state footprint and in digital; ensuring up-to-date repository of tools and marketing for business lines
  • Ensure all projects are mapped with timelines, budgets and ongoing monitoring, optimization and team alignment
  • Write, edit and proofread as needed for all projects
  • Ensure proper resources are aligned to accomplish goals and objectives and build awareness of efforts through appropriate communication
  • Comfortably operate using a variety of systems and processes to accomplish work
  • Drive creation and approvals of materials through creative team, project stakeholders and compliance
  • Adapt and flex as plans shift and change in a fast-paced, evolving environment

Marketing Research and Reporting:

  • Coordinate and oversee the analysis of current B2B marketing state and the identification of marketing opportunities
  • Conduct market and internal research and ideate on marketing initiatives, per research findings
  • Identify and propose marketing solutions, programs and opportunities that meet needs of the Business Segment and the bank

Compliance: Understand and comply with the Bank's BSA/AML Program, which includes, but is not limited to the following:

  • Complying with the Bank's Customer Identification Program and Customer Due Diligence Policy;
  • Identifying, monitoring and reporting suspicious activity;
  • Completing BSA/AML training in a timely manner as directed by management;
  • Ensure direct reports meet the above requirements, if applicable.

The Ideal Candidate for This Role:


Knowledge, Skills, Education and Experience:


  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or equivalent working experience in Marketing related field
  • Previous working experience in a project management or marketing capacity
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent spoken and written communication
  • Knowledge of general business processes
  • Desire to continuously learn and understand the aspects of the Business Segment and business customer needs
  • Ability to manage projects spanning over several months as well as quick-turn projects
  • Experience developing relationships with and ensuring the appropriate participation of key stakeholders
  • Ability to distill and share learnings and make recommendations from data
  • Desire to working in a fast paced, cross-functional collaborative environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and Zoom
  • A growth- and service-oriented mindset


  • Professional Marketing or Project Management Certifications
  • 1-3 years in a Business Partnering Role
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Workfront
