It is anticipated that an incumbent in this role will work remotely for three (3) or more days a week and will share a hoteling workspace when working onsite. Work location is subject to change based on business needs.

About this Role:

 

FNBO is seeking a self-driven and versatile individual to join our Global Banking & Wires delivery team. As part of a small technology delivery team practicing Agile methodologies, you'll work closely with a lead developer, tester, delivery team lead, and business units to provide technical expertise and in supporting a variety of software systems that span differing technologies.

You will be an active participant in refinement and daily standups. You will install, configure, test, implement and support third-party vendor applications and dependent components, with the goal to meet the expected value and align with business expectations. You will be expected to work with business-critical applications, in a time-sensitive, high-availability environment.

Job Duties

  • Maintain, install, and configure system application and supporting infrastructure to meet business objectives, including technical administration of the components.
  • Monitor, patch and deploy changes on the application and supporting infrastructure, ensuring software remains current, stable, compliant, and meets enterprise standards.
  • Performance, reliability, and maintenance of assigned applications(s) including completion of upgrades and implementations.
  • Liaise with vendors and other technical support staff on installation tasks and problem resolution.
  • Work closely with business units and third-party vendors to lead system enhancements.
  • Perform escalation support and issue resolution through research across multiple systems.
  • Provide on-going support in the form of application functional knowledge, support documentation, system monitoring and production support (including off hours, weekend, and on-call support as necessary).
  • Provide input into the application roadmap for further improvement and development as an expert on the assigned applications.
  • Seek opportunity to learn, automate, document, share, educate, and improve enterprise processes and systems.
  • Lead assigned team projects, contribute to agile team ceremonies, and assist team members in decision making, planning and execution.
  • Collaborate with peers to develop best practices as well as iterative continuous improvement ideas and recommendations in support of driving business value and reducing technical debt.
  • Provide scripting as needed.
  • Understand and comply with bank policy, laws, regulations as applicable to your job duties.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science or other technology related field or equivalent years of experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with third-party software installation, integration, and ongoing support, including prior experience utilizing incident, change, and problem management processes.
  • Experience in:

 - Windows and Linux/UNIX OS knowledge

- SQL knowledge

- Batch scripting (e.g., Bash, PowerShell)

  • Demonstrate a consultative approach with the ability to analyze stakeholder's needs.

  • Outstanding interpersonal skills, including the ability to build collaborative relationships, listen and actively contribute to discussions.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication, including technical writing skills.

  • Demonstrate complex problem solving and analytical skills to troubleshoot issues.

  • Keen attention to detail with focus on quality.

  • Ability to work multiple tasks/projects concurrently and adapt to changes quickly and positively.

  • Strong documentation skills.

Additional Preferred Experience (not required)

  • Oracle, WebSphere/IHS, MS SQL Server, IIS

  • Knowledge of wire systems (e.g., SWIFT, MTS)

  • Experience in banking/financial services industry
