The Analyst II, Finance is responsible for performing financial reporting and analysis for the Retail Banking and Enterprise Marketing divisions of FNBO. This role will partner with business unit managers and the finance team to prepare and review operating budgets, forecasts, monthly financials, and campaign analyses. This includes, but is not limited to, monthly journal entries, revenue and expense analysis, regulatory reporting, and ad-hoc analyses that action data

The successful candidate is a self-starter who can design, plan, and execute on preparing reports ensuring accurate, timely and actionable financial reporting. Additional responsibilities and accountabilities include:  

  • Develop, prepare, and improve financial reporting to assist in the ongoing management and evaluation of the business.
  • Perform processes and reporting that include vendor payments, expense processing, GL account reconciliation, and journal entries.
  • Develop and maintain competency within the financial systems required to facilitate division and business unit specific reporting. Enhance expense databases and invoice coding methodologies related to business unit budgets.
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of monthly reporting, supporting processes and variance analysis.
  • Work with business unit managers for analysis of business and business products, preparation of forecasts and budgets.
  • Obtain and analyze data from multiple sources.
  • Continuously identify opportunities for increased efficiency / accuracy.
  • Identify other areas to leverage information.

Key Skills:

2-4 Years of experience with:

  • Excel models/calculations.
  • Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Independent research and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong aptitude for accounting and financial statement analysis.
  • Investigating and solving problems in straightforward situations.
  • Journal entries, GL account reconciliation, and budgeting.

Minimum Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Finance, or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to collaborate with others as a self-directed contributor with a proven track record of being detail orientated, innovative, creative, and strategic.
  • Exhibit professional behavior and promote positive working relationships. Maintain regular and predictable attendance in alignment with departmental/divisional policy.
  • Compliance: Understand and comply with bank policy, laws, regulations, and the bank's BSA/AML Program, as applicable to your job duties. Complete compliance training and adhere to internal procedures and controls, as required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access).

Desired:

  • Prior experience with: Oracle SmartView/Essbase, PeopleSoft, Ascend, Ariba
  • Curious and innovative mindset
  • Highly analytical and organized individual
