Please see below the details of this career opportunity and how it fits into our organization's success.The Intern role is accountable to develop core skills and working knowledge of FNBO business practices and operations through educational sessions, straightforward projects, and other duties requested by the manager.
Join a dynamic team focused on transforming our business through new products and financial technology ("fintech") partnerships. The Innovation Intern will focus on research, reporting and community engagement to help us understand market and technology trends. You will support our efforts to educate the enterprise about emerging technology and help inform our fintech strategy.
Research: trend-spotting, market and competitive analysis
Writing: draft communications to share what you've learned from your research
Reporting: help develop and maintain scorecards and dashboards to inform the enterprise
Internal networking: create strong working relationships to facilitate information gathering and innovation portfolio monitoring
Community outreach: build relationships to help us better engage with, and learn from, community organizations (universities, Meetups, etc.)
Project work: support additional Innovation & Disruption initiatives on an ad-hoc basis
Naturally curious, analytical and research-oriented
An interest in finance, technology and innovation
Comfort with ambiguity and researching unfamiliar topics
Ability to distill information into concise summaries
Junior status or higher in university (or equivalent experience)
Tech background preferred
Part-time or full-time, flexible, hybrid
Hybrid (flexibility to occasionally be in Omaha office)
A 1-2 paragraph writing sample on a current banking innovation trend and why it could/should be relevant to FNBO
