Key Accountabilities:

Create and lead the strategy and implementation of customer acquisition, cross-sell and engagement to create relationship growth through rate driven products (credit card, savings, MMDA, etc.)

  • Identifies strategic focus areas that provide acquisition benefits to the bank (prospect targets)
  • Build relationships with key stakeholders throughout the bank segments (individual, business and partnership) to understand bank and customer needs in order to develop marketing plans and improve current processes to drive increased business.  This includes collaboration with retail teams to build best local market acquisition strategies in addition to enterprise level efforts.
  • Understand the competitive landscape and current offers within each market to help develop, design and provide recommendations for existing customer marketing strategies.
  • Oversee entire acquisition & cross-sell marketing from inception of the strategy, to coordination with the Creative Team, Marketing Operations for delivery/execution, Legal, Compliance, Analytics and business partners, to results presentations. 
  • Manage costs to most effective/competitive levels. Ensure budget is on target. 

Help form and lead the strategy and implementation of cross-sell efforts to develop relationship growth for rate driven products

  • Build relationships with teams throughout the Bank to help develop and power-up marketing plans and improve current processes that drive increased business. 
  • Understand the competitive landscape and current offers within each market to help develop, design and provide recommendations for existing customer marketing strategies.
  • Oversee cross-sell marketing from inception of the strategy, to coordination with the Creative Team, Marketing Operations for delivery/execution, Legal, Compliance, Analytics and business partners, to results presentations. 

Be the subject matter expert on rate driven acquisition, adoption & cross-sell marketing strategies.

  • Understands human lifecycle and trends for acquisition, cross-sell and win back.
  • Gather and synthesize market intelligence by actively engaging internal and external resources including customers, sales and relationship managers. Industry experts and vendors. Stay attuned to emerging technologies in the consumer space. 

Assist in defining the go-to-market strategy, positioning, customer experience requirements and identifying target customers.

  • Utilize analytics information to improve marketing plan efforts through understanding customers, markets, channels and products.
  • Influence key stakeholders through logic, persuasion, inspiration, analytics and financial justification.

Continuous Improvement: Provide input to Manager to enhance work group/team efficiencies and effectiveness.

  • Identify and recommend opportunities and provide input on the enhancement of policy, process and procedure.

Cross Functional Working Relationships (CFWR): Work collaboratively with peers and management to maintain Service Level Agreements with all assigned CFWR.

  • Consult with strategic partners and understand the banks key business needs. 
  • Collaborate with other team members, marketing, business partners and sales teams to identify, define and validate marketing plan strategy, results, and integration touch-points.

Compliance: Understand and comply with bank policy, laws, regulations, and the bank's BSA/AML Program, as applicable to your job duties.

  • Complete compliance training and adhere to internal procedures and controls, as required.
  • Report any known violations of compliance policy, laws, or regulations.
  • Report any suspicious customer and/or account activity.
  • If applicable, ensure direct reports meet the above requirements and take action to address employee performance issues.

Professionalism/Attendance: Exhibit professional behavior and promote positive working relationships. Maintain regular and predictable attendance in alignment with departmental/divisional policy.

Knowledge, Skills, Education, Experience, and Physical Qualifications (if Required by Work of Role)

Required:

*BA/BS degree required

*Knowledge and experience of the financial services industry

*Customer campaign/management experience

*5+ years' experience in brand marketing, product marketing, direct marketing, or marketing program management

*Demonstrated experience prioritizing and handling multiple projects

*Knowledge of enterprise marketing and sales processes.

*Must have excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills

*Strong communication and project coordination skills, with an ability to work effectively with Sales and Business Development to lead and execute on a wide variety of product marketing initiatives.

*Strong organizational, analytical and execution skills

*Capable of strategic thinking and moving strategic plans into action

Successful budget management experience managing $500K -  $1MM in marketing promotional costs

Desired:

*MBA

*Salesforce experience

*Social media experience

*Previous experience in bank industry marketing

*Previous experience with bank products and market dynamics.
