The Asset Manager is responsible for visibility and control of software assets throughout their lifecycle, and comprehensive and accurate reporting of all assets to ensure license compliance to avoid unbudgeted costs. This role will also provide visibility and governance of hardware assets throughout their lifecycle. The Asset Manager provides insight into to software license trends to support the FNIT Technology Strategy.
Maintain inventory management practices that tracks all software assets and media, including ownership and allocation through their lifecycle.
Review vendor agreements with technology owners to understand and comply with Entitlements, Warranties, Maintenance, Support and other contract terms related to all software products.
Utilize ITAM system to set-up and monitor license compliance for all software products.
Perform license and financial analysis for software model changes (i.e. on-prem to cloud migrations) and guidance on transition path.
Lead ITAM team efforts during vendor audits. Coordinate vendor requirements within the organization. Develop audit responses, and corrective action plans for internal staff throughout FNBO. Participate in negotiating final vendor settlement. Develop and implement standardized audit approaches wherever applicable.
Interface and collaborate directly with Enterprise Finance, Legal, Sourcing, and Risk entities to ensure effectiveness of ITAM program.
Support Hardware Asset Management policy and governance.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business Administration or seven years of equivalent experience.
Minimum one year experience with IT Asset Management.
Effective communications and collaboration skills; ability to work with management and technical staffs of all levels and skill sets.
Professional experience working with technology contracts and software licensing.
Advanced ability to gather business and technology requirements.
Working knowledge of the fundamental concepts and procedures used in a purchasing and asset management environment.
Minimum of one year experience in data analytics to support software planning, compliance and asset reporting.
Strong organizational, analytic, and complex problem solving skills.
Certification in IT Asset Management or minimum 3 years' experience working directly in IT Asset Management role.
Experience with or knowledge of major ITAM systems such as Flexera, ServiceNow, or equivalent.
Highly effective speaking, listening, writing, and interpersonal skills.
