The Lead Developer, Technology supports the Shared Services delivery team and is well skilled in the design of business functions, applications, information and infrastructure architectures, coding, testing and debugging. You are able to train, coach and mentor developers and analysts of varying level of experience regarding methods, procedures, tools, work aids and standards. You have experience implementing dev ops techniques including CI / CD and test automation, are familiar with modern development practices and principles as well as, cloud-hosted infrastructure. You will make informed decisions regarding technologies, application architecture and, implementation strategies and guide the team, stakeholders and product owners. You operate with an agile mindset, are customer focused, are learning orientated and above all else, like to dig in and help where needed.

Duties may include:

  • Influence technical discussion and decisions of new solutions and architectures.

  • Build and maintain systems with current and emerging technologies while leveraging and expanding system capabilities.

  • Provide creative solutions to cross platform technical problems.

  • Partner with customers to establish requirements and close identified gaps.

  • Provide strong problem solving skills, methodology and approach and review problems by using experience, analytical skills and creating thinking to develop solutions.

  • Participate in structured walkthroughs and technical reviews.

  • Create documentation, flowcharts, diagrams, layouts, and charts to demonstrate sound solutions.

  • Provide onsite and offsite support for the processing cycles of production systems.

  • Some evening and/or weekend work required to support production deployments, critical incidents, or critical projects.

  • Support the Scrum Master in adhering to Agile Scrum best practices.

  • Provide mentorship and guidance in technical matters for all members of the development team.

  • Design and implement effective APIs.

  • Troubleshoot and debug software and hardware problems across the application portfolio.

  • Manage and maintain application and software lifecycle.


  • You have varied experience with software development as well as maintaining the infrastructure supporting on-prem applications.

  • Working knowledge of Test-Driven and Behavior-Driven Development

  • Knowledge of Agile and Dev Ops and methodologies.

  • Experience converting SOAP services to REST

  • Working knowledge of OpenAPI Spec/Swagger

  • Experience and knowledge designing and implementing micro-services, with a focus on applying API integration patterns for scale and reuse.

  • Ability to write quality unit, functional and automated tests

  • 3+ years experience with designing and implementing rest api's for distributed systems.
