Role Description:

This role is accountable for the management, leadership, and coordination of the Marketing Project Management Team with direct team management.  The Marketing Project Management Team is responsible for the day-to-day execution of marketing programs working with various internal teams, including but not limited to integrated marketing & communications team, verticals, compliance, and marketing operations.  Day-to-day execution means the team is responsible to get each and every marketing campaign/job/project through the various stages of campaign development, proof all collateral, create offer requests, oversee campaign governance, and own the master marketing calendar and marketing collateral repository.

This individual needs to lead this team by implementing project methodologies or aspects of methodologies to effectively manage and improve upon today's complex campaigns with flawless and timely execution.  It is critical that this individual understand all existing and future capabilities for acquisition and customer management campaigns to effectively coach and develop their team members.  The role is a combination of people, project and relationship management and requires an individual to have an in depth understanding of marketing, technology, customer service, and operations from both a strategy and process perspective.

Key Accountabilities:

Lead and manage team of Marketing Project Managers

Manage team to success with flawless and timely execution of all marketing campaigns/jobs/projects for both Acquisition and Customer Management utilizing proven project management methodologies fit for marketing execution.

  • Institute proven methodologies and constantly assess and optimize to drive efficiency, accuracy and multi-team alignment within marketing project execution (e.g. agile, stand-ups)
  • Coach team to think ahead about potential roadblocks to meet campaign performance goals and work with stakeholders to preemptively address issues.
  • Create positive, solutions-focused department culture through high communication and collaboration
  • Set quarterly/annual department goals focused on flawless execution
  • Provide guidance and direction for team members managing multiple marketing projects across a diverse set of channels.

Constantly evaluate and evolve process, procedures, and methodologies to most effectively and efficiently execute on campaigns

  • Work with team to build a process as well as repository to manage, proof, traffic, and track all marketing pieces/campaigns (inputs and outputs)
  • Institute improvements in marketing project tracking and craft a master marketing calendar that roles up all activities in to one place for easy tracking and distribution
  • Build processes and train teams to empower individuals, limit human error and build team knowledge on all contexts around campaigns, functionality, regulations, etc.

Maintain a high level of governance and oversight of all campaigns

  • Ensure quality control of all marketing pieces produced
  • Build and improve processes including leveraging Naehas and JIRA among other systems
  • Constantly evaluate team and ensure they maintain inventory of completed marketing piece/campaign work in central repository (audit folders) for purposes of audit, future reference and how long pieces have been in-market.

Build and maintain team's technical knowledge of campaigns, promos, offers, and production specs to guarantee accurate campaign set up, trafficking, campaign optimization and data output

  • Ensure team understands the full impacts of all technical aspects of campaign/offer set-up
  • Understand vertical/marketing/business goals and ensure team can translate in to technical set-up of promo/offer codes
  • Leverage existing capabilities to flawlessly execute marketing programs while serving up opportunities for new capabilities
  • Build central repository and eliminate individual team-owned redundancies of all current offer capabilities to include acquisition, bonus, customer management, etc.
  • Offer production specs, inventory, and other solutions to marketing for improved execution, efficiency and costs
  • Create processes and guarantees to ensure set-up aligns with reporting and analytics expectations to guarantee accurate performance and reads of each marketing campaign
  • Ensure understanding of how advertising and marketing campaign technologies satisfy digital campaign measurement needs and ensure campaigns are executed to support required campaign learnings

Constantly evaluate execution of all programs to make recommendations on how to improve the Customer Experience and how customers engage with us.

  • Document and keep track of the customer journey with in First Bankcard.
  • Identify gaps capabilities and hand off to Innovation Project Management Team for build out.

Collaborate with leaders across the enterprise to identify impacts, overlaps, synergies, and opportunities between projects and initiatives

Provide input, including recommendations and impact analysis, to Manager's strategic plan to enhance departmental effectiveness and efficiency

BSA Compliance: Understand and comply with the Bank's BSA/AML Program, which includes, but is not limited to the following: (Ongoing)
* Complying with the Bank's Customer Identification Program and Customer Due Diligence Policy;
* Identifying, monitoring and reporting suspicious activity;
* Completing BSA/AML training in a timely manner as directed by management;
* Understand and adhere to all bank policy, laws and regulations applicable to role.
* Report all compliance issues, violations of law or regulations in accordance with the steps defined in the FNBO Compliance Accountability Program.


  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Process Management or similar area of study
  • 8-10 years of experience in marketing project management, marketing operations, advertising agency traffic/operations or equivalent.
  • Ability to effectively improve operations and processes
  • Strong experience with scoping, development of plans and schedules for complex marketing programs with multiple work streams
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and change management capabilities, with the ability to move a group towards a unified direction and with a common vision


  • Project Management or Project Management Coaching Certification/Training
  • Experience utilizing Agile Marketing methodologies
