The Field CTO drives strategic partnership with enterprise clients of FNTS.  This role is responsible for collaborating with FNTS' clients and prospective enterprise clients, building a stronger relationship with the clients and assisting them with strategic initiatives, including an overall IT strategy that ties back to FNTS offerings and partner delivered solutions.    In collaboration with multiple internal and external stakeholders, the Field CTO builds strong relationships with our clients, establishes credibility and trust, and is viewed as a trusted advisor in developing strategic initiatives to help our clients meet their business goals.  The Field CTO collaborates with the FNTS Sales Team in working with new and existing accounts, the FNTS architecture and engineering teams in understanding FNTS capabilities and technical solutions available to solve client's business needs, and FNTS' partners to leverage additional capabilities to provide an overall solution for our clients.   In addition, the Field CTO researches industry trends and emerging technologies and provides insight from client buying behaviors and industry research to the FNTS architecture team for product and service roadmap discussions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and strategic consulting to existing and potential clients focusing on common delivery principles from FNTS
  • Help clients do more with less, lower TCO within IT
  • Simplify IT operations, shorten delivery times
  • Modernize applications and infrastructure utilizing new platforms/tools for cloud-native development
  • Utilize different delivery models based on application requirements (i.e. public cloud, private cloud, SaaS, etc...)
  • Understand the client's business, business objectives and overall growth strategy.
  • In conjunction with the client, develop a strategic plan including technical solutions to assist the client in meeting their business objectives.
  • Understand FNTS' current state technology ecosystem and future initiatives to be able to communicate how FNTS' technical solutions may be able to assist the client.
  • Collaborate with FNTS Sales Executive and Sales management to develop customer engagement plans
  • Provide feedback to the FNTS management and architecture team around new/innovative technologies and trends in the industry and needs in the marketplace for future product development initiatives.
  • Assist sales team in the development of technical solutions that meet the client's strategic needs and how to best position the solution for success with the client.
  • Meet with top clients on a regular basis to become more aligned with their strategic initiatives and to position FNTS as their trusted advisor.

Basic Requirements

  • Technology visionary / technology expert with focus on services and industry trends
  • Exudes strong leadership skills and can operate with a high degree of courage & collaboration across key stakeholder groups (peers & business leaders)
  • Strong technical expertise in infrastructure, cloud (Azure & AWS), and next generation capabilities
  • Operates with a high degree of transparency in technology solution design & decision making
  • Ability to influence technology priorities & decisions at the executive management level
  • Ability to translate technology language into business driven value and conversation
  • Enterprise experience with a variety of disciplines
  • Strong interpersonal skills and relationship building skills in working with clients, internal stakeholders and partners.
  • Understand VMWare technology stack, Azure, and AWS
  • IDEAL candidate will have experience in a CIO/CTO position
  • Travel is required up to 50%
