Job Description:

The Enterprise Data Management Senior Business Analyst will have the primary objective of accelerating the adoption of an analytic environment and realizing value by enabling enterprise goals. They will manage the analytic data environment, on the behalf of the enterprise, for all stakeholders. They will have a forward looking vision of the value and usage of analytic data environment that incorporates immediate business needs and long-term enterprise needs. They will develop and manage a portfolio of forward looking initiatives driven by that vision. They will continuously learn and develop the analytic data environment towards higher maturity - based on industry best practices, FNBO needs, and emerging trends.

Key Responsibilities:

The role will take ownership of the analytic environment and capabilities, specifically towards two objectives 1) ensuring value from analytic capabilities for the enterprise and 2) ensuring the process of generating output through the analytic capabilities is efficient and effective.

1. Business User Level Engagement

a. Maintain an on-going relationship with enterprise business units to develop an understanding of business analytic capability needs

b. Establish value-calculation mechanism for business initiatives that will be enabled by the analytic environment

c. Generate the detailed set of value-add initiatives that will be enabled by the analytic environment

d. Prioritize the initiatives and escalate to Data Center of Excellence (DCOE) as necessary

e. Work with business units to develop information requirements for solutions teams to build the outputs required

f. Ensure the outputs developed are in accordance with business units' expected outcomes

g. Maintain continuous relationships with key stakeholders to ensure initiatives are completed

2. IT Interactions and Hand-Offs - IT | EDM | BU

a. Ensure that analytic environment processes are running smoothly including appropriate levels of hand-offs between parties

b. Ensure that, once business level information requirements are generated, Enterprise Business Intelligence (EBI) teams and Enterprise Data Management (EDM) teams are handling the appropriate processes in the cycle towards completion.

c. Establish standards as necessary through the process (in conjunction with Data Governance office) to ensure data analytic practices are institutionalized.

Additional Responsibilities:

1. Work with the business to understand the need and value of work requested

2. Represent the business and customer value while working with IT to translate the business outcomes into features (requirements) for Delivery team

3. Work across the organization with stakeholders and users to ensure business value is realized

4. Roadmap the team's upcoming work

5. Prioritize and manage the intake and backlog of work

6. Provide status updates to business leadership

7. Accept Stories, Features

8. Attend and participate in certain Delivery Team Ceremonies

9. Work with DCOE to resolve priority conflicts

Required Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in data science, computer science, or other quantitative-related field required

2. Minimum of five [5] years of business data environment experience required

Additional Qualifications:

1. Minimum of five [5] years of banking business experience preferred

2. Will require both attention to detail and an ability to think big picture in improving processes surrounding analytic environment

3. Familiar and comfortable with the entire lifecycle of analytic output

4. Work in a cross-functional environment

5. Resolve conflicts, present items for escalation as needed, and drive common purpose and goals around analytic capabilities

6. Team builder and capable of communicating with mid and upper level management

7. FNBO familiarity a plus

8. Experience interacting with data, business needs driven by data, and IT functions that handle data a plus
