Responsible for the growth of the NEST Direct Plan by providing proactive sales and customer services to prospective and active account owners and owning relationships within First National Bank departments and branches, employers, CPAs, RIAs and sponsorships.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Business Development NEST Direct Plan
Encourage business growth through an expert understanding of the direct to customer marketplace, a review and understanding of research by industry sources, being directly involved in CSPN network and implementing programs and strategies to expand the use of the NEST Direct Plan.
· Develop and implement Direct Plan sales and distribution strategic plan for all areas of accountability
· Responsible for business development and growth for NEST Direct Plan through various channels including CPAs, employers, FNBO banks and RIAs.
· Accountable for Direct Plan goals
· Accountable for improving account penetration within Nebraska for Direct Plan
· Recommend changes to the plan/strategies as needed through benchmarking against competitors, understanding best practices in the marketplace and customer feedback and surveys.
· Develop cost efficient and effective ways to communicate and market to employers, bank branches, and individuals (through emails, social media and the website) - such as best in class webinars, testimonials, etc.

2. Channel development and expansion (within FN footprint):
· Employer Channel
Point of contact for employer channel
Develop and expand both number of employers and number of employees contributing through employer channel
Presenting to employees
Ensure materials and presentations are compliant, accurate and effective
Develop and implement multi-level training plan and methods to deliver the training
· RIA Channel
Identify, develop presentation materials and meet with RIAs to encourage them to use the NEST Direct Plan
Share ideas and strategies about using the NEST Plan
Become go-to resource for 529 plans
· CPA Channel
Identify, develop presentation materials and meet with CPAs to educate them on the plan and encourage them to discuss the NEST Direct Plan and various tax benefits
Develop and implement CEE workshops
Become the go-to resource for 529 plans

3. Sponsorships and events within Nebraska
· Accountable for budget, identification of and staffing of targeted sponsorships and events that provide the best opportunity to increase participation in the Direct Plan and/or provide maximum awareness
· Identify key event and sponsorship partners
· Work directly with Children's Museums on travelling and in-museum exhibits
· Ensure all events are staffed with knowledgeable individuals
· Develop results-driven goals for sponsorships and events

4. Social Media and marketing
· Working with Marketing Director, develop annual marketing strategic plan and developing creative marketing efforts and campaigns
· Review and approve social media
· Identify marketing initiatives, targets and success factors
· Responsible for ensuring collateral and the website are best suited to expand the Direct Plan and for recommending, reviewing and approving changes

5. Bank branches within and outside of Nebraska:
· Point of contact for all bank branch staff for college savings, the Direct, Advisor Plan and Able plans and for scholarship and sponsorships
· Ensure staff is knowledgeable about NEST which includes lunch and learns in bank branches with just staff as well as events for the public and branch staff
· Ensure branch materials are up to date
· Ensure marketing campaigns are appropriately managed within the bank channels
· Responsible for referral process

6. First National Bank (not bank branch)
Provide advisory services to others in First National (RPS, Wealth, Commercial Banking, Corporate Banking)
Leverage use of NEST by wealth managers, private bankers and others in the bank directly working with customers to sell NEST by ensuring they are knowledgeable about plan features. Monitor progress.
Identify opportunities to use referrals process and to incorporate NEST into performance goals and identify cross-sell opportunities for bank products.
Be the point of contact to HR regarding staff training for saving for college and work to expand NEST as a staff benefit

7. Manage cross-functional NEST Speaker's Bureau team
· Ensure that retail managers, bank presidents and Speaker's Bureau members are apprised of goals and details of both the ABLE and NEST Direct Plans.
· Achieve buy in for goals and analyze results against goals. Develop changes to strategy as needed
· Ensure staffing for events
· Ensure members have appropriate education

Job Qualifications

7-10 years in banking, financial services or other relative/similar industry experience
Series 6 or 7 License with a minimum of 5 years' experience in a licensed position
Experience in developing and implementing strategic vision and business strategy
Extensive knowledge of and/or experience with investment products
Strong relationship management skills with a keen understanding of unique needs of audience/channel
Superior listening, presentation and oral and written communication skills with strong and proven presentation skills
Ability to direct the resolution of highly complex or unusual business problems
Demonstrated ability to use analytical and strategic approach to job requirements
Ability to travel within FNBO footprint as needed
Proven ability to work independently
Proven track record of sound decision making practices
Highly organized
Proficient with computer software, including Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, and database software
Bachelor's Degree
Knowledge and understanding of 529 Plans
Experience working with other financial advisors

This position requires Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) registration. Qualification requirements include meeting applicable financial industry responsibility, regulatory requirements, credit fitness and criminal background standards. Successful candidates must meet ongoing regulatory requirements including acceptable background investigation, credit report and fingerprinting results.
