Join the FNTS team as a Network Administrator. Use your rich experience in networking to help us refine, continually improve and manage our large, state-of-the-art network that serves our hosted cloud customers.
Provides proactive and reactive technical support for external customers hosted network infrastructure
Responsible for the administration, installation, configuration, maintenance and support of network and related monitoring systems to ensure stable performance
Works under the guidance of Network Engineers to provide support, maintenance and installation of networking equipment and systems, which may include routers, switches, firewalls, wireless controllers, wireless access points, transport infrastructure, environmental systems and associated systems
Participates in new client onboarding including network discovery and creating technical documentation
Helps clients identify technical risks within their Network infrastructure
Installs, configures, manages, and maintains organization's network including supporting hardware, software, server and integrated systems
Maintains Network OS to keep software current with necessary software updates and upgrades.
Coordinates with customers to determine the business functions and activities of the customer; assist in determining the requirements of systems networking requirements; review system functionality based on these requirements.
Maintains communications with in-house and contract staff, vendors, and installation crews regarding all aspects of the project from inception through to hardware/software installation, and any interfacing needs.
Develops, leads and facilitates process improvement efforts
Installs, configures, and troubleshoots network devices in support of multiple external customers
Effectively interfaces with internal and external customers to understand business requirements and to help customers understand and leverage technology
Bachelor Degree or equivalent 4+ years of related experience
1-3 years of full-time, hands-on experience managing/supporting business class network technologies
Possess an active CCNA or is willing to secure CCNA as a requirement of the position
Demonstrated knowledge of general engineering practices and techniques
Demonstrated basic knowledge of a broad area of network hardware
Demonstrates working-level knowledge level of Cisco, F5, Netscaler, Checkpoint Firewalls or Palo Alto Firewalls
Knowledge and practical application of routing protocols
Familiarity with security systems such as IDS/IPS
Knowledge and practical application of Layer 1-4 networking standards
Familiarity with electrical and environmental systems
Operates with substantial latitude for decisions or actions
Strong interpersonal skills
