The Systems Engineers' role is to ensure the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of the systems that support the customer systems. The Systems Engineer will apply proven communication, analytical, project management and problem solving skills to help identify, communicate, and resolve issues in order to maximize the benefit of FNTS to its customers.
Maintain and implement technical solutions, document the build process, and document the support requirements.
Provide Tier 2 escalation support to the Command Center
Develops or modifies FNTS Cloud Infrastructure to meet business objectives of our diverse customer base.
Maximize system performance via monitoring, troubleshoot system problems and outages, schedule upgrades via change control and maintenance windows.
Utilize monitoring tools to proactively identify problems with systems, storage, and virtualization.
Assist in incident management including problem resolution and tracking problems
Works with multiple customers, stakeholders, and system owners to produce requirements, determine feasibility, analyze cost/benefits requirements, and recommend design solution options.
Provide training and technical support for both internal and external user with varying levels of Technology attitude.
Assist in regulatory body attestations to maintain compliance of FNTS's hosted cloud environment.
Document and follow processes needed to drive operational stability and standardization of system design.
Design, implement, and maintain server, storage, network, and security infrastructure
Design, implement, and test disaster recovery and business continuity architecture
Implementation of new solutions and improving resilience of the current environment
Develop technical roadmaps and strategies as well as properly Implement system and software upgrades as directed
Test, evaluate and propose recommendations on next practice methodologies surrounding emerging technologies that would benefit FNTS's customers
Participate in deep architectural discussions to ensure solutions are designed for successful deployment, security, and high availability in the cloud
Design and maintain the customer facing and corporate global data center technologies with a focus on Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS)

4+ years IT Infrastructure background related to cloud, virtualization, networking, and security.
Windows technologies: Server2008/2012, Active Directory, SQL Server, PowerShell.
Linux technologies: Redhat6/7, NIS, IP Tables, Bash Scripting, Perl, Postfix, SSSD, Satellite.
Experience with PCI compliance a plus.
Ability to work well as part of a cross-functional team environment.
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent experience (preferred)
Ability to multi-task and adapt to changes quickly
Knowledge of, but not required, Cisco UCS server platform environment and management, IMC central, UCS Manager\Director, and EMC and Storage
Expert Experience in at least four the following items: Windows Server, Solaris, Linux, VMware, Citrix, UNIX, and PowerShell.
Experience setting up and maintaining solutions based on FNTS's cloud solution and external Cloud providers - AWS and Azure.
Strong understanding of the following: Windows Server, Windows operating systems, and Active Directory.
Automation tools: Salt Stack, Puppet, Chef.
Hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) such as EC2, EBS, ELB, S3, ElasticIP, Route 53, IAM, Gateways, VPCs, CloudWatch, Lambda scripts, etc.
Current VCP (VMware Certified Professional) Certification required
Knowledge of Solaris is a strong plus
