Provide strategic leadership and direction for the Magnify Program and other assigned areas of responsibility. Directly responsible for business plan results for the Magnify program. Serve as primary source of contact for Magnify vendors and partners. Serve as a coach and mentor to the employees supervised by selecting and developing talent, improving delivery channels, identifying product and process enhancements that support a customer sales and service orientation. Develop and maintain a highly visible professional presence throughout the Associations’ and with targeted external audiences.

Essential functions of the position include, but are not limited to:

  1. Magnify Program - Provide strategic leadership for the Magnify Program, to develop and accomplish business plan goals.
  • In conjunction with the Senior Vice Presidents (Retail), coordinate annual business planning for the Magnify program.
  • Provide guidance and direction while working with partners and vendors for on-going product development and product enhancements.
  • Work with partners, and third-party vendors to identify and integrate third-party products and/or data sharing with Magnify.
  • Plan, coordinate and implement advertising and marketing strategies for the Magnify Program.
  • Partner with the Public Relations and Marketing team for Magnify promotional and advertising budgets.
  • Lead the Magnify Team to achieve established goals to grow and expand the products and services offered through Magnify.
  • Actively develop and maintain relationships with key industry ecosystem partners that will consume and/or contribute data within Magnify.
  • Actively involved in assessing and adjusting Magnify delivery models to ensure that Associations’ objectives are met.
  • Oversee the ongoing tracking and analysis of competitive activities including win/loss data on key competitors
  • Act as the primary contact with the following teams with respect to the Magnify product and delivery system: Public Relations and Marketing, Lending Solutions, Loan Accounting, Credit underwriting, Accounts Payable; Information Services (System Issues); Risk (Product Risk Modeling, Compliance) and Finance (pricing issues).
  • Monitor industry changes and lead change initiatives to remain current with industry standards, guidelines, and regulations in a timely and accurate manner
  • Lead and administer product pricing for Magnify. Work closely with Senior Vice Presidents and Regional Leaders to develop and implement pricing programs to support business plan objectives. Accountable for implementing adequate controls and monitoring to assure compliance with Associations’ policies.
  1. Relationship Manager – Serve as the Associations’ primary relationship manager with industry contacts, on a national basis, to ensure proper visioning and positioning of the Associations’ Magnify Program.
      • Provide leadership and direction on the design, negotiation and execution of vendor contracts. Identify and convey market opportunities through focused strategies, initiatives and messages.
      • Work closely with Senior Vice Presidents and Regional leaders to ensure consistent implementation of a well-coordinated sales and marketing plan through relationship management strategies.
  • Actively develop and maintain relationships with Farm Credit System institutions to create additional channels for Magnify subscription sales.
  1. Leadership & Human Resources – Provide team leadership to inspire the Associations’ vision, consistent with core values and team principles. Instill a participative work team environment and develop the team and individuals.
  • Develop team members through coaching and training, as well as ongoing performance feedback. This includes staffing/recruiting, delegating authority, establishing goals and performance standards, providing ongoing performance feedback, problem identification and resolution, employee development, and salary administration.
  • Develop and monitor a budget for the Magnify Program.
  • Collaborate with the Regional Leadership Team and the Human Resources Team to develop and implement employee incentive and recognition programs to facilitate market growth and quality improvement processes for the Magnify Program.
  • Assist leaders in hiring team members that may be directly or indirectly involved in delivering and supporting Magnify, as requested, to help evaluate product-specific technical and sales skills.
  1. Sales and Marketing – Monitor the competitive marketplace, identify best practice applications, and continually improve industry knowledge and expertise.
  • Work closely with Senior Vice Presidents and Regional Leaders to ensure consistent implementation of a well-coordinated sales and marketing plan through relationship management strategies.
  • Integrate Magnify into marketplace products and goals. May serve as the Associations’ spokesperson for Magnify products and program, which includes initiating the release of media information (written and oral) and industry presentations.
  1. Compliance – Serve as the compliance officer for the Magnify team and act as primary contact with Associations’ Compliance Officers.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to ensure implementation and adherence of Government and Regulatory statutes and regulations that apply to accounting.
  • Ensure necessary changes are incorporated into the Associations’ procedures, training, forms, processes, and automation.
  • Communicate compliance risk issues to Compliance Risk Sponsor, Compliance Champions, Risk Team, and Associations’ Compliance Officer as appropriate.
  • Review and respond to internal and external compliance-related reports and events.


Ideal candidate will have education including a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, agricultural economics, or closely related field or equivalent experience required. Ideal candidate will have eight to ten (8-10) years in ag-business accounting, consulting and significant financial reporting responsibility. Requires knowledge of managerial accounting principles, complex financial reporting, agribusiness structures, and financials. Obtains and maintains any required licensing or certifications. A minimum of 3 to 5 years of leadership experience preferred.  

Duties require:

  • In-depth knowledge of Farm Credit Services of America and Frontier Farm Credit
  • Knowledge of Managerial Accounting principles.
  • Knowledge of Software as a Service (SaaS) and cloud-based technologies.
  • Demonstrated competence in business development, marketing, and public relations.
  • In-depth understanding of consultative, needs-based selling process.

  • Proficient in Windows environment using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Internet Explorer.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and effectively demonstrate team building attitude and skills.


Extensive contact with retail, lending and Omaha teams, Regional Vice Presidents, Senior and Executive Leaders. Regular contact with customers, industry leaders, and third-party vendors.



  • Ability to reason, judge, compare, calculate, evaluate and critique such information as written material, numerical data, responses to customer needs and/or other work related activities.
  • Ability to complete work in an acceptable timeframe and manage a variety of detailed tasks and responsibilities simultaneously and with accuracy to meet deadlines, goals, and objectives and satisfy internal and external customer needs related to the job.
  • Ability to operate telephone and respond to calls and in-person inquiries.
  • Ability to move about the office with occasional reaching and bending.
  • Ability to successfully interact with and represent the organization to staff, officers, board members, customers, and the public at all levels.
  • Ability to travel extensively up to 35% with overnight stays by auto or commercial transportation to carry out essential responsibilities.
  • Ability to understand and explain various subject matters and consult on concepts, programs, terminology and methods.
  • Ability to use and understand various computer software related to carrying out essential responsibilities of the position to include proficient in Windows environment using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Internet Explorer. Ability to use a keyboard/calculator/computer.
  • Ability to use and understand technology systems for video conferencing, tele-conferencing and other methods of remote leadership.
  • Ability to understand and explain decision and recommendations
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and effectively demonstrate team building attitude and skills.
  • Ability to motivate people to perform to the best of their ability.
