Job Description

As a Desktop Support Specialist, you will provide in-house hardware and software support for DMSi employees. This includes a variety of equipment and issues such as desktops, laptops, network connectivity, Windows software, and much more. In addition to providing excellent technical support, you will also be assigned projects in which you will research and implement new technologies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

  1. Manage and maintain Office365 Hosted Exchange and Office Application stack 
  2. Manage employee desktop/laptop patching and anti-virus 
  3. Manage and maintain Mitel/ShoreTel IP Phone system 
  4. Manage and maintain Zoom conferencing solution and conference room equipment 
  5. Manage and maintain office printers and multifunction devices (print/fax/scan) 
  6. Administer internal email spam/malware filtering 
  7. Employee desktop/laptop procurement and support 
  8. Assist with the management and maintenance of the corporate Active Directory 
  9. Assist with the management and maintenance of back-office network infrastructure, DHCP, DNS, VPN 
  10. Ensure supported systems are highly reliable, secure, and performing at acceptable levels 
  11. Develop and maintain desktop/laptop configuration documentation 
  12. Develop and maintain hardware refresh cycle policy/schedule 
  13. Performance daily back-office system monitoring 

Desired Skills 

  1. Windows and macOS operating system installation and configuration 
  2. Desktop/laptop configuration and troubleshooting 
  3. Windows Server administration (Active Directory) 
  4. Microsoft Office 365 Administration 
  5. TCP/IP Network Administration and Troubleshooting
  6. SIP Telephony systems administration (ShoreTel preferred) 
  7. Patching and Anti-Virus Administration (ESET for AV is preferred) 
  8. Windows PowerShell and PDQ Scripting 
  9. NOC/Data Center Operations 
  10. ITIL Best Practices 

Minimum Requirements 

  1. Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience 
  2. 2+?years of system administration, network design, and VMware experience 
  3. Excellent time management, organization, documentation, and customer service skills 
  4. Effectively prioritize and handle multiple projects at the same time
