Director of Sales and Marketing

Job Description

DMSi Software is seeking an experienced Director of Sales and Marketing to lead and manage the overall revenue generating strategies for the company.  In addition to directing the Sales Team, this energetic professional will be responsible for planning, implementing, and executing a profitable marketing strategy.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

Strategy & Analysis

  1. Plan & deliver revenue growth programs for DMSi’s products and markets.
  2. Identify and break into new target markets.
  3. Build prospecting processes to expand opportunity pool.
  4. Develop compelling demo strategies for each market.
  5. Analyze sales and marketing data to identify opportunities.

Operations

  1. Facilitate collaboration and alignment of Marketing/Sales with Product Development and Customer Service.
  2. Oversee all marketing activities and campaigns.
  3. Manage and prioritize incoming requests and projects.

Team Management

  1. Provide coaching to sales and marketing team members.
  2. Ensure the sales team updates the CRM effectively with all appropriate data.
  3. Direct staffing, training, and performance evaluations.

Process Improvement

  1. Improve sales team efficiencies, reduce bottlenecks, and improve DMSi's sales cycle velocity.
  2. Establish processes to improve lead management, data hygiene, and lead quality.

Administrative

  1. Manage budgets for the Sales and Marketing departments.
  2. Track and control on-going expenditures to conform to budget.
  3. Manage outside contractors and vendors.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  1. Has an advanced understanding of DMSi’s products or comparable ERP/Software Experience, customer operations, and industry niches.
  2. Capability for providing direction, supervision and coaching to the Sales and Marketing Team.
  3. Superior verbal and written communication skills.
  4. Advanced analytical, logical, research and problem-solving skills.
  5. Ability to positively interact with all levels of the company and with others outside the company.
  6. Ability to maintain a high degree of tact, professionalism and confidentiality.
  7. Ability to adhere to organizational policies and procedures.

WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Normal office environment with the use of computers and telephone systems; no unusual physical demands.  

Some travel to customer locations or industry events.
