Assistant/Associate Professor of Prosthodontics

 

Creighton University School of Dentistry is seeking a motivated individual to support the didactic and clinical curricula of the school through a broad spectrum of patient services through the Clinic Model.

 

Primary appointment will be in the Department of Prosthodontics. The 12-month position will work with a team of dedicated faculty who are building on a rich legacy of excellence in dental education and expanding our capacity as a national resource in the dental profession. Responsibilities include supporting the delivery of the curriculum notably in the preclinical courses and labs in addition to the clinic.

 

This is a tenure position and will require academic appointment in either (Teaching/Research or Clinical Education) having the opportunity for transition to a non-tenure track. Academic rank will be based upon qualifications.

 

Qualifications:

  • Specialty certification in Prosthodontics from a US accredited program
  • DDS or DMD degree or, an equivalent degree from an international program along with completion of an ADA accredited clinical specialty program
  • Successful completion of Part I and Part II of the National Board Dental Examination or Integrated Board prior to the date of hire.
  • Candidates must be licensed or eligible for licensure in the state of Nebraska and acquire credentialing from applicable third-party payer systems.  
  • 2-4 years prior teaching experience
  • Prosthodontic specialty degree or private practice with documented experience in Prosthodontics is preferred but not mandatory. General dentists are also encouraged to apply.
