The Creighton University Athletic Department is now accepting applications for the position of Executive Associate Athletic Director for External Operations. Creighton, located in Omaha, Nebraska, competes in NCAA Division I as a member of the BIG EAST Conference. This Executive Associate Athletic Director for External Operations, as member of the athletic department’s senior leadership team, will provide strong vision, leadership, management, coordination, execution, and oversight of the department’s external units.

This position will have direct oversight of the following units:

Athletic Communications
Athletics Marketing and Promotions
Ticket Sales and Services
Broadcasting and Interactive Media
Corporate Sales and Sponsorship

This position will be responsible for ensuring effective coordination between these external units to support the strategic priorities of the athletic department which includes (but is not limited to) increases in attendance, revenue growth and competitive brand positioning. Additionally, the incumbent will be charged with collaborating, consulting and partnering with University Marketing and Communications so that all marketing and communications efforts support the goals of the university as a whole.

Other essential responsibilities include:

Lead the strategy development and management of the departments branding and licensing initiatives, in collaboration with the University’s marketing team
Manage the public relations efforts of the athletic department
Create a team-oriented work environment amongst the external operations units
Work collaboratively with athletic development and University Advancement to enhance game day experience for donors and on other external initiatives
Sport administrator for a designated sport program

Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree
6 years related experience.
Management experience required
