We are hiring a Senior IT Project Manager to join our team. This role is a senior member of the IT PMO and is a recognized leader in project management at Creighton University. This person will have a proven and consistent track record of managing multiple complex technology-based projects. In this role, you will lead, plan, organize and direct complex projects and perform program management.
Key Responsibilities
Independently lead, plan, organize, direct and manage multiple complex technology projects/programs, including planning, controlling, risk mitigation, issue escalation, budgetary control, and execution of implementation activities.
Contributes to the development and implementation of program and portfolio management, project management methods tools, techniques, policies and procedures.
Defines project objectives and develops business cases for proposed projects, including requirements elicitation, drafting project-related documents, creating time/resource estimates, cost estimates for proposed projects and change management of feature requests.
Assists stakeholders in clarifying the business challenges and objectives to accurately set the scope of projects.
Facilitates the development of business cases with quantitative information.
Develops relationships and partners with campus stakeholders to understand their needs.
Defines project approach and deliverables to most efficiently and effectively meet project objectives and stakeholder needs.
Leads and/or collaborates with Solution Analysts to guide stakeholders and project team through requirements gathering, solution design and develop comprehensive project proposal to facilitate governance.
Prepares status reports and provides updates to project stakeholders, sponsors, governance groups. Closes out projects and collects lessons learned to improve PMO processes.
Mentors and advises other IT resources and project managers on project management methodologies and practices.
Identify, define and implement continuous improvement efforts within the PMO, and help define standards, policies and practice for the Creighton PMO.

Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor’s Degree in a related area and/or equivalent experience
Minimum 7 years of experience in leading/managing complex IT projects and programs using both waterfall and agile methodologies
Proven and consistent performance utilizing project management methodologies and practices to deliver complex projects on time, and on budget
Preferred:
Master’s degree in relevant field
Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
Scrum Master Certification (CSM)
Experience in Higher Education

Experience leading network infrastructure projects related to new installations, upgrades, and refreshes
Advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite
Working knowledge in financial management and ROI calculations
Proficiency in at least 1 PM tool suite
