The Department of Paramedicine at Creighton University invites applications for a 12-month, non-tenure track faculty position.

 

 

Responsibilities

 

Responsibilities include teaching supervision of students in classroom and laboratory sessions as well as student supervision during clinical practicum and field internship shifts. This position also serves as the American Heart Association (AHA) Coordinator.

 

Primary responsibilities include ongoing coordination of all AHA courses, including course scheduling, instructor assignments, instructor training, support for affiliated instructor/training agencies, and other general administrative duties associated with the AHA program. Other faculty responsibilities include those associated with service and scholarship commensurate with the College of Nursing Paramedicine Department.

 

 

Qualifications

 

  • Must be a Nationally Registered paramedic and hold, or be eligible for, Nebraska paramedic licensure.
  • Must possess an earned bachelor’s degree.  Willingness to pursue completion of a master’s degree. A master’s degree or higher degree is preferred.
  • 3 years of experience required. Educator of health or medical related content.
  • 5 years of patient care experience in an emergency or critical care environment required.  Preferably including field experience in the delivery of out-of-hospital emergency care.
  • Must possess or be eligible for licensure as a paramedic and EMS Instructor designation in the State of Nebraska.
  • Current provider and instructor certifications in BCLS, ACLS, PALS, PEPP, AMLS, ITLS, and PHTLS preferred
