Manager of Student Information Systems

We are seeking a Manager of Student Information Systems to manage our Student Records and Financial Services (SRFS) area transformation initiatives. This role will implement frictionless student experiences and leverage cloud CRM technology (we use Salesforce) to provide the SRFS area with transformational technology solutions. 


The Manager of Student Information Systems will be the point of contact for the transition from a fragmented multi-system structure to a data-centric and system-agnostic model.  You will embed business analytics, business requirement elicitation, student system troubleshooting, and enhancement capabilities within SRFS to continually improve our student enrollment programs, assets and tools. In this role, you’ll rely heavily on influence over authority to drive project deliverables.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Provide vision, leadership, and technical guidance in managing the student information system and customer relationship management data and set-up. 
  • Prioritize and deconflict area enhancement requests relative to business value, etc. 
  • Coach and provide technical knowledge share to identified department-level technical leads. 
  • Represents the SRFS’s technical interest in assigned committees and interdepartmental meetings. 
  • Perform analyses, identify problems and solutions, make recommendations, and evaluate results relating to the development, enhancement, and maintenance of the student data. 
  • Organize system audits and quality assurance to ensure data accuracy. 
  •  Troubleshoot utilized student system issues and fulfill appropriate enhancement requests from SRFS (Registrar’s Office, Business Office, and Financial Aid). 
  • Translate the needs of the business in a manner that is consumable to technical partners.  
  • Deliver solutions to use cases via reporting, system set-up/configuration, or process redesign. 
  • Prioritize and educate business owners on delivered system functionality or compatible solutions which address practical use cases.  


Minimum Qualifications 

  • 2 years of system analyst experience within a CRM platform, Salesforce preferred. 
  • 3+ years of experience in data management, reporting and analytics. 
  • Bachelors degree Computer Science or related field. 


Preferred Qualifications  

  • 2+ years of facilitating business process review (BPR) findings into technical requirements, preferred. 
  • 3+ years of functional troubleshooting experience with a relational data structure SIS system, Banner preferred.
