Creighton Universitys Health Sciences Multicultural and Community Affairs (HS-MACA) has embraced diversity on campus, in the community and globally. HS-MACA serves as the foundation for a variety of “pipeline” programs. These programs serve students from grade school to college to professional school by providing educational opportunities and exposure that allows diverse students to be competitive applicants for health science schools. In addition, our programs provide information to young individuals so that they will consider health professions as a career of choice in the future.  The Health Sciences Multicultural and Community Affairs mission is to promote Creighton University as a recognized leader in the training and development of a multicultural health care workforce that serves to reduce health disparities in underserved and diverse communities through research, culturally proficient education, community interaction and engagements through Ignatian values.


This position is responsible for the coordinating the Center for Promoting Health and Health Equity (CPHHE) Protecting the Underserved from Health Disparities (ProUD) Grant.  Through educating and supervising the Creighton University certified Community Health Advocates on vaccines like COVID-19 and Influenza vaccination education and community engagement.  This is a one-year grant funded, part-time position.



  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience preferred. Master’s in health education preferred.

  •  2-4 years related coordination of programs experience


Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Ability to lead in the community required Proficiency in MS Office Suite to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Prior working experience in health disparities arena preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail required
  • Demonstrated customer service
  • Ability to resolve conflict
  • Ability to think independently and analyze problems and reach solutions
  • This is a part-time position and will require the ability, on occassion, to work evenings, weekend and holiday work depending upon the need
  • As the ProUD Grant Program Coordinator you will be responsible for:
  • Coordinating the community activities of 6 Creighton University certified Community Health Advocates (CHAs)
  • Assist with training the CHAs on vaccination information
  • Coordinate with CHAs to set up and host site education within the community
  • Create, manage, and maintain ProUD database.
  • Assist with the creation of educational and marketing materials with the program supervisor and university communication department. Assist with the distribution of the communication materials. Develop and manage the content of social media, newsletters etc.
  • Prepare updates and monthly reports to grant sponsor, assist program supervisor with creating evaluation instruments, and monitoring CHA tracking and activities
  • Report to the CPHHE Supervisor setting programming objectives and assistance in organizing community activities in collaboration with the program supervisor and the CHAs
