Public Safety Lead Officer (11:00 p.m. - 7:00 a.m.)

Key Responsibilities: Performs duties to ensure the safety and security of university students, visitors, and employees. Applies crime risk and safety hazard prevention techniques, methods, practices, and enforces University rules and regulations. Primary job responsibility is to patrol campus at any time by vehicle, foot, or bike. Secondary responsibility is to fill in for the supervisor when they are not available. In this role, the shift lead will directly supervise shift dispatchers, officers, and student employees. Coordinates shift changes, communicates with supervisory personnel of adjoining shifts; communicates with supervisory personnel of other public safety agencies; gathers/exchanges information on call activity, problems, special situations, or other areas requiring attention. They will respond to incidents, emergencies, and calls for service to resolve problems, document same, and deploy appropriate resources.
Schedule: Full time, overnight hours. Must be able to work a monthly rotational schedule (i.e. January-M, Tu, W, Th, F; February-Tu, W, Th, F, Sa)
