The Lab Assistant within the Department of Medical Education collaborate with the Lab Director to support the day-to-day maintenance of the laboratories used for professional education of students and medical personnel and ensures that the lab is set up to offer a positive, effective learning experience. Responsibilities include care of human cadavers, the laboratories, teaching instruments, equipment, and supplies. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk. This position is very active and requires standing, lifting, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, throughout the day.
This a part-time position, working between 5-15 hours per week. Hours may vary, and could include evenings and weekends.
Education & Experience:
- High School Diploma and/or relevant experience
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
- Must be able to lift at least 150 lbs, excellent fine motor skills, ability to work well with others, high level of dependability and maturity, ability to handle confidential matters and to be professional.
