Description

The Department of Medical Education at Creighton University is seeking to hire temporary instructors for the 2021-2022 academic year. Instructors will assist anatomy faculty in the execution of anatomy courses for medical, physician assistant and master medical science students. Familiarity with active learning strategies is preferred.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Assist anatomy faculty with development of teaching materials
• Attend weekly course preparation meetings with anatomy faculty
• Assist students with understanding the steps to take during dissection of the human body
• Ensure students use equipment properly and safely
• Engage students in discussions of important anatomical concepts and clinically significant anatomical relationships
• Respond to student questions and concerns
• Conduct regularly scheduled reviews
• Help create and grade practical examinations
• Know, follow, and enforce all laboratory regulations
• Help ensure the laboratory is maintained in a safe and effective working condition
• Escalate unique issues or problems to faculty in charge of laboratory sessions
• Uphold the Catholic Jesuit values of Creighton University

*Please note, this position will be paid hourly and is non-benefit eligible.

Hours/Schedule: dependent upon class schedule and final candidate selected.

Qualifications:
• M.S. degree with advance training in clinically oriented anatomy
• Demonstrated command of clinical anatomy and skill in presenting it effectively
