The Assistant Director for the Office of Equity and Inclusion is responsible for investigating complaints under Creighton University’s Title IX Sexual Harassment Policy and Non-Discrimination Policy, including complaints under Title IX, Title VII, and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act. This individual will fulfill the University’s compliance obligations by conducting prompt, thorough, and equitable investigations, primarily for the Omaha campus, using a civil rights investigation model. The Assistant Director also works with the University’s Bias Education and Support Team (BEST), focused on the Omaha campus. The Assistant Director participates in providing presentations, trainings, education, awareness campaigns, and compliance initiatives specific to the Office of Equity and Inclusion. This position reports to the Executive Director for the Office of Equity and Inclusion.


Bachelors Degree in a related field;

6 years of progressively more responsible management experience;

2+ supervisory years’ experience;

Proficiency skills in MS Office Suite to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

Excellent written/verbal communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills;

Strong collaborative/teamwork ability to motivate, and inspire staff at all levels of the organization;

Ability to handle confidential information with the utmost discretion and sensitivity

Familiarity with federal statues related to higher education, specifically Campus SaVE, Clery Act, Title IX, FERPA, Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act

Demonstrated experience with strategic thinking and planning;

Demonstrated ability to develop and implement complex plans coordinated with multiple constituencies.

Ability to serve as a neutral, unbiased party in the investigation process
