The primary focus of this position will be accounting for our grants and donation funds. You will be responsible for preparing journal entries and cost transfers, preparing financial reports and invoices, tracking cost sharing, reconciling, closing out grants, and researching and responding to questions and requests from our department administrators across the University. In addition, you will interact with our various school, department, and clinic managers to accurately reflect cash receipts. You may also be called upon to assist with special projects for our general and plant funds. The ideal candidate may come to us with business world experience but new to accounting and is interested in gaining accounting experience in a mission-driven organization. A recent accounting graduate with accounting internship experience would also find this a great introduction to the world of GAAP not-for-profit accounting and compliance.
Bachelor's degree in related field
3-5 years' of related experience.
