The lab of Dr. E. Jeffrey North, in the Department of Pharmacy Sciences at Creighton University, is looking for a qualified and highly motivated postdoctoral research associate in the field of synthetic medicinal chemistry. The North lab is heavily involved in the discovery of novel drug leads with activity against drug-resistant bacterial infections, in particular, tuberculosis. The primary duties for the successful candidate will involve the design and synthesis of novel anti-tuberculosis compounds and chemical probes for an NIH-funded project. Applicants must have a PhD (or successfully defended graduate student) in organic or medicinal chemistry with experience in synthetic organic chemistry and common analytical methods including NMR, LCMS and HPLC.

Prior experience in neurodegeneration and/or aging is preferred;

Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays depending upon research needs
